Eco-Hotel La Paz was the first Hotel in San Marcos, established in 1993 with a clear concept of decentralization from Cities, thus creating an alternative for those who deeply feel the need to be connected with nature, peace, and culture since we are surrounded by a great Mayan village, San Marcos La Laguna.

Our hotel provides you with a holistic atmosphere and humanistic staff that cares instead of just serving.

It was created by Benjamin Herrarte, a Guatemalan-born environmental designer.
